Like mycelium, the underground fungal network that supports the life and thriving of all plants in their eco-system, we would like to call in and better connect the incredible human network at our backs in service to a thriving movement for diasporist judaism in the UK.

Whether you are a seasoned Miknaf-nik who has joined us for many of our programs already or want to support our work from afar, we are so excited to welcome you a little deeper into our work.

For the last five years Miknaf Ha’aretz has been working to heal, repair and transform Jewish belonging to land, create a space to radically reimagine Jewish safety beyond zionism, build community rooted in principles of earth-based radical-diasporism and organise within the wider land justice movement for land and food justice for all. We have been blessed, humbled and greatly moved to meet and connect with hundreds of like-minded folk seeking a political and spiritual home where they can bring their whole Jewish selves. It has never been so needed.

People often ask how they can support the work we do at Miknaf Ha’aretz and get more involved in building earth-based, radical-diasporist Jewish community in the UK. We have decided to launch a membership that will really help to resource the work we do at Miknaf, whilst supporting our community to be better connected.

Building up our movements for social and ecological change has never been more important. We want to develop Miknaf to be the powerful movement of diasporist jewish organising the world needs right now. And we’d love you to join us.

About
Miknaf Membership

  • We will begin with a simple membership of members & supporter members. Membership costs will start from £1. We want anyone to be involved if they want to be, and for costs not to be a barrier. Consistent contributions, however small, will allow us to do the work of cultivating earth-based, radical-diasporist jewish community in the UK and organising for land justice for all. 

    While there are no distinctive ‘perks’ to being a member, all members will get the opportunity to shape Miknaf, to connect as a community, participate in community education  & feedback sessions and be part of a brave, growing collective of diasporist organisers in the UK (and beyond!).

    We see membership of Miknaf as a first layer of building towards more autonomous regional organising which we feel is necessary to deepen and grow our impact. Preparing members to self-organise will be a next phase of our work. For now we want to map where people are and how people want to engage.   

  • Members: Full Membership is open to anyone who identifies as Jewish in the most inclusive and expansive sense; including those from any denomination, those with jewish ancestry looking to learn more about their heritage; and those on a conversion journey.

    Supporter Members: Supporter Membership is open to anyone in our wider community who would like to support our work who does not identify as jewish.
